The following 14 Cabbage Patch Kids were found and purchased "new" in the mid-1980s when the demand for CPKs was so high that in order to get one it was necessary to determine which store would be getting a delivery and when and then get to that store early enough before opening time on that day, get in line, and then hope you'd get a doll. Each of these dolls is dressed in its original clothes and has its own and original birth certificate. Most or all of them have their original hangtag, and although each one was de-boxed when new they have never been played with.
(1) Maureen Beatrice was born in the Cabbage Patch on October 1st. She is signed in blue ink by Xavier Roberts, 1985. She has the same name as her Grandma but Maureen is spelled differently. Maureen Beatrice is dressed in her original clothes which is a white dress trimmed in dark blue stitching, red and white panties and dress trim. Made in China, "OK" tag, stamped 14D white lace-up shoes (Hong Kong OK inside) white socks, and original diaper. Maureen Beatrice has her birth certificate. Her red hair is braided and tied with white ribbons. She has blue eyes and one dimple on her left cheek. She was manufactured by Coleco, OK and has head #3 copyrighted 1978, 1982 by Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc. Mfg. by Coleco Ind., Inc. Rubber sticker #42 or #142.
(2) Andrew Selby manufactured by Coleco, "P" tag, copyright 1978, 1982, Original Appalacian Artworks, Inc. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. This Cabbage Patch Boy was born September 1st. He has tan hair, blue eyes, a dimple on his left cheek and has a pacifier. Andrew Selby is wearing his original clothes, a red corduroy short jumpsuit with an elephant applique. He has a white t-shirt with dark blue stitching on the neck and sleeves. Made in China "P", sticker on tag "F7". White lace-up shoes with punched design (Hong Kong P on insides). Original diaper, pacifier marked Jouet Seulement, toy only, not for use by infants. There is no head number, head marked "P" CPK 1978, 1982 Original Appalachian Artworks, Inc. Mfg. for Coleco, Ind., Inc.
(3) Corissa Delila, a girl, born October 1st. Dated 1985 and manufactured by Coleco, "KT" tag. She has head number 9 and is copyrighted 1978, 1983 by Original Appalachian Artworks, Inc. Her body is signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Corissa Delila has tan hair with short loops with pony tails tied with white ribbons. She has green eyes and two dimples. She is wearing her original clothes which is red checked overalls with ruffled strapes. The inseam snaps open for easily changing her diaper. She has a white blouse with lace and yellow rickrack, white lace up shoes with pink stripes marked Hong Kong KT inside. Made in China KT, tag 12A. She is wearing her original diaper.
(4) Ema Joeline dated 1985 and manufactured by Coleco, "OK" tag. Ema Joeline has head #2 with a 1978, 1982 copyright by Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc., manufactured by Coleco Ind., Inc. with a rubber sticker #106. Her body is signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in dark ink. She was born September 1st and has dark brown hair in pony tails with ribbons, two dimples, and brown eyes. She is dressed in her cowgirl outfit which is her original clothes. She has on a plaid shirt, brown vest and brown chaps, blue jeans, and brown boots (made in Taiwan CY on insides), no socks. She has on her original diaper and her tag says Made for Coleco, Taiwan CY. She has a card that says, "I just can't want to tell you all about myself! I like to go barefoot in the sand at the beach."
(5) Eve June manufactured by Coleco, "OK" tag, rubber sticker #90. She has head number 2 and copyrighted 1978, 1982 by Original Appalachian Artworks, Inc. Her body is signed Xavier Roberts, 1985, in blue ink. Eve June was born on October 1st and has golden hair worn in braids and tied with white ribbons. She has blue eyes and two dimples. She is wearing her original clothes, peach corduroy coveralls, buttons and inseam closures. A white blouse trimmed in lace and pink rickrack. The clothes are tagged LF, made in China. She is wearing her original diaper, white lace-up shoes with pink stripes (Hong Kong OK inside), and white socks.
(6) Hal Rex, 1986, a boy with head number 8, born October 1st has dark brown hair that is cut short without loops, brown eyes, and a dimple on his left cheek. Hal Rex likes to color and still has his original Cabbage Patch Kids red color attached to his right hand with a plastic tie. He is wearing his original clothes, bright gold overalls with buttons but velcro closure on the the straps, knit cuffs on bottom of pant legs, big brown bear appliqued on front. There is blue cording around the bib of the overalls. Under the overalls he is wearing a long sleeve striped t-shirt that has gold, peach, and white stripes. The clothes are tagged made in China, "OK" tag, 517K. White lace-up shoes with blue stripes (Hong Kong inside) white socks and original diaper. His body is signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in red ink. (7) Hank Nelson, a boy, 1985, born September 1st. No hair, blue eyes, and two dimples. Hank Nelson's body is thinner than most of the other Cabbage Patch Kids. Manufactured by Coleco "P" with head number 2. Copyright 1978, 1982 by Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc., made in Hong Kong. His body is signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Hank Nelson is wearing his original clothes, aqua corduroy two piece suit with bear appliqued on top and CPK patch 1983 original Appalachian Artworks, Inc. on pant, white t-shirt with dark blue stitching on neck and arms. Knit hat with tie. White tie shoes (Hong Kong P on insides), white socks. Made in China, "P" tag and sticker B5. Original diaper.
(8) Henka Casia, 1985, a girl, born October 1st. Golden hair in braids and tied with white ribbons, small blue eyes, one top tooth, two dimples, and a little nose. She does not have a head number. Manufactured by Coleco OK, copyright 1978, 1982, Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc. rubber tag affixed #62. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Henka Casia is wearing her original clothes, yellow knit sweater & yellow booties with a cotton onesie yellow check with lace. Her clothes are tagged Made in China, "OK" tag, "9T" or "9J" stamped on tag. She has on her original diaper.
(9) Iona Deirdre, 1985, manufactured by Coleco for Appalachian Artworks copyright 1978, 1982. Rubber tag #110 on neck, Head #3. Body marked Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Iona Deirdre was born November 1st. She has yellow hair, short looped with white bow. Blue eyes, one dimple on left cheek. Fairly small nose. She is wearing her original cheerleader clothes. Green and white cheerleader outfit with Cabbage Patch Kids on front. Made in Taiwan for Coleco "FD" tag, Green and Gold pompom. Satin skirt with green and white panels. White satin pants and white lace up shoes with white stripes (Hong Kong OK inside), white socks, and original diaper.
(10) Julian Konrad, 1985, manufactured by Coleco, "J" tag with head #1. Copyright 1978, 1982 by Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc. Made in Spain. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. This boy was born October 1st. He has reddish brown short looped hair. Brown eyes and brown freckes. He has 9 freckles on his right cheek and 10 freckles on his left cheek. He is wearing his original clothes, brown corduroy short jumpsuit with elephant applique on front. No buttonhjoles, will not unbutton. White knit shirt with dark blue stitching. White lace-up shoes and white socks. Tag, made in Spain J. Coleco Ind. He is wearing his original diaper.
(11) Morris Kevin, 1985, a boy, born October 1st. Manufactured by Coleco, "OK" tag, with head #8. Copyright 1978, 1983, Original Appalachian Art Works, inc. rubber tag affixed #75. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Hair is tan looped, blue eyes, blue glasses (that broke from age and brittle plastic), one dimple on left cheek. He is wearing his original clothes, yellow corduroy jumpsuit shorts with white and pink elephant applique. White t-shirt with dark blue stitches on neck and arms. White tie-up shoes with punched design (inside 1st OK, Hong Kong, A. Inside 2nd B, OK Hong Kong), white socks, Made in China, OK. Tag stamped "7 H". Wearing original diaper.
(12) Nathan Kim, 1985, a boy, born November 1st. Manufactured by Coleco, "OK" tag. Head #8, copyright 1978, 1983 Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc. rubber tag affixed #00 or #100. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 with blue ink. Reddish brown hair, short loops, brown eyes, blue glasses, one dimple on left cheek. Wearing original clothes, an aqua sailor suit with white ribbon tie, white tie shoes with aqua stripes (one marked Hong Kong OK inside, one marked Hong Kong 4 inside). Made in China, OK. Tag stamped "2 0 C". Wearing original diaper.
(13) Owen Langdon, 1985, a boy, born November 1st. Manufactured by Coleco, "KT" tag. Head #2 copyright 1978, 198? Original Appalacian Art Works, Inc. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Reddish brown loop hair, brown eyes, two dimples. Wearing original clothes, blue and gray warm-up with red #31 on front of top. White lace-up shoes with blue stripes ( Hong Kong KT on insides), white socks. Original diaper. Tag marked Made in China, mfg for Coleco KT, 8B
(14) Selena Lucie, 1985, a girl, born November 1st. Manufactured by Coleco, "KT" tag. Head #2 copyright 1978, 1982 by Original Appalachian Art Works, Inc. Body signed Xavier Roberts 1985 in blue ink. Brown hair, braids with white ribbons, rown eyes, two dimples. Wearing original clothes, warm-up suit, white and yellow/white stripe. White shoes with ties, socks. Made in China, 18B. Wearing original diaper.
The Cabbage Patch Babyland Farm Animal Lamb is suppose to talk when pressed but this one is missing the talking box that fit under the bib. Because the writing has faded from the body tag the manufacturer is not known.
Coleco's 1986 Cornsilk Cabbage Patch Kid. Dressed in her original very pretty dress this CPK has head mold #15 and is from the OK Factory.
Coleco Cabbage Patch Kid, tagged (c) 1978, 1982, Original Applalachian Artworks, Inc. Signed in blue ink by Xavier Roberts. Head stamped 1978, 1983, head mold #8. Red yarn hair, one tooth showing, green eyes, two dimples. The #8 head mold and the signature in blue are both indicators that the doll was a 1985. The early 1985 CPKs had eyeglasses but not all of the 1985 dolls wore glasses. This doll was not purchased new and does not have her birth certificate with her name and it is not known if her clothes are original but they aren't tagged Coleco which most or all CPK clothes usually are.
Coleco's Cabbage Patch Kids (c) 1986 O.A.A., rocking chair horse, made in Romania. All "the kids" enjoy riding the rocking horse.
"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" would be an appropriate song for this little Cabbage Patch Kid to sing. She has lost her two front teeth but has all of the others showing with her mouth open. Signed in green by Xavier Roberts. Head mold #19, stamped 1978-1983 and tagged 1978-1982. Original Appalachion Artworks, Inc., manufacturered for Coleco, Inc., made in China. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and wearing some lace trimmed overalls.
