"She's Like Me" by The Family Company, NJ, 1998. This is "Confidence: With My Ears Pieced". This is one of a series of 9 inch dolls from 1998, 1999, 2000. Wearing a pretty black satin blouse with a floral print pattern and her little pearl earrings, she has misplaced her silk skirt and print tights. She is dressing for a school party but one of the pearls fell out of her earring and she has been looking everywhere for it all afternoon. She has pretty blue eyes that do not close, long blonde hair and a nice vinyl body. Her hair is a wig and not rooted. The dolls started as "It's Me" dolls that girls could relate to and then their name was changed to "She's Like Me." Each doll, priced between $40.00 and $50.00 came with a 36-page hardcover book of original stories, poems and songs. The 1998 series included: Responsibility, Trust, Friendship, Loyalty, Wisdom, Confidence, Courage and Creativity. In 1999, the series included: Faith, Sharing, Love, Unity, Joyfulness, Discovery, Patience, and Sportsmanship. In 2000, the series included: Tradition, Manners, and Curiosity.
